Begun before my U. S. Air Force duty and finished soon after.

Inspired by University of Iowa MFA Gene Matthews’ “Many Pitts” 1967 painting in the Sheldon Museum of Art at the University of Nebraska (eMuseumPlus – Collection | Result). And using Maurico Lasansky’s single plate printing technique of yellow ochre 1st then the black ink 2nd printing sequence.

Note: The next three etchings were conceived while working as a janitor in an off-campus University of Colorado building that housed the women’s dance department.

8/2020 Linocut two colors done at Iowa City’s TAAG studio, now closed. This print required 83 proofs for me to complete. Simple takes time!
